========================================= ========================================= Layers OMG! Input a psd no comp'n works! ========================================= ========================================= I would think that a psp with layers could be output as a gif =single= file just like we are with the psd files. In fact the round button psd file is just that. One image with six layers or frames. The first layer/frame was all white. The next 5 are each a different color. http://www.scri8e.com/IM_Tutor/my_IM_tutes/formats-N-IM/PSD/butnsO.psd Take this to Arbor ImageMagick and input straight into the studio.Takes a bit to load. It first 'lays' down the canvas "layer" of a white background. Then starting from the NW corner it lays down each of the 5 following layers/frames When all layers/frames are loaded. It begins blinking them on and off. If you composite this same file it will be animated. A round button 126x126 of 6 frames. The first frame will be the white canvas/background frame/layer The next 5 will be the five frames/layers of color. If you output gif format the composited verson single frame you will have 5 buttons of various colors. If you input the psd file into the studio =Do not composite= Output gif 'Append' You get this. A one frame/layered image that has the 5 buttons lined up from the NW corner to the SW corner. The rest of the image will be the gray canvas/layer. Under the row of buttons however it will be clear/transparent. http://www.scri8e.com/IM_Tutor/my_IM_tutes/formats-N-IM/PSD/butnsAppend.gif It is 480 W x917 H and weighs 35kb The psd file is over 400kb. ========================================= ========================================= From:M r s K Group:    alt.discuss.clubs.public.arts-lit.design.msvsmagic Subject:Re: Try'n for PSP format Read for info please! Date:Fri, Nov 5, 2004, 7:44pm Ok - couple of thoughts. Psp images are usually made in layers. The whole reason for saving an image in psp format, is so that you can go back and work on a certain layer. In order for it to be of any use for webbies, they'd need a way to work on a given layer. Once it's merged in psp, it can e saved as a jpg. Tubes - a tub file is only as good as the person tubing the image. Tubing is a technique in which you remove a portion of the image, by cutting it out. I've seen many beautiful tubes, and some pretty ghastly ones, too. After you have tubed the image, it goes on a transparent bg, and then it's ready for use in the PsP "picture tube" function. Meaning we can paint with the image, or just plop it down as a single image. So tubes might be easier if Mr C can make it happen. Input as a tub, out as a gif. ========================================= OHHH! =DUH= LOL ========================================= That was what I was told in email. That what is wanted is to split the layers so the © watermark can be removed. LMBO! If I was Mr.C I sure wouldn't be try'n too hard to put psp files into use at my Magick studios. "Nawh-uh!" Can you imagine the hot water he could get into from the copyright holders. Me thinks we best be happy with psd format. ......HAHAHHAHAHA....... Me shaking head and laughing (and I fell for it hook line and sinker! lol) Mrs.K smack me & wake me up! lol No WONDER Mr.C hasn't said anything about psp or tub format/s! =========================================
